Careers - Thinking Of A Career In Real Estate?
Requirements

Currently* the State of Illinois Division of Financial and Professional Regulation
(IDFPR) requires the following to become a licensed real estate salesperson:
  • 45 classroom hours of a pre-license course that is approved by the IDFPR
  • passing of the pre-license course final exam
  • passing of the state licensing exam

(*We say current requirements because this will change in the near future. The
IDFPR and the Illinois Association of REALTORS is encouraging the Illinois
General Assembly and Governor to change the license requirements to include
90 classroom hours and an additional 30 hours of post-license training.)
